MILLGROVE, Ontario — In a field full of a variety of experience and cars, Craig Cole was able to make the month of October one to remember for himself and his race team.

Last Saturday, Flamboro Speedway capped off their season in style with their yearly Halloween Enduro. The 2020 edition would see just over 90 cars take the green flag, ready to do battle over the course of 250 laps. It’d be completely full of chaos along the way, with cars sometimes five-wide down the straightaways as they looked for racing room.

There was some indeed some contact, with a couple red flags slowing the action. However, several drivers were able to soldier on with 24 competitors completing more than 200 laps en route to the checkered flag.

A combination of speed and wreck avoidance paid off for Craig Cole, as he was one of two drivers to complete all 250 laps en route to taking the victory. It caps off a great season for the driver who normally competes regularly at Delaware Speedway as he also won the Pure Stock portion of Frostoberfest a couple weeks ago.

Flamboro Speedway Mini Stock regulars Dylan Sharpe and Rodney Rutherford completed the podium, continuing their trend of being factors in enduros with both being past winners. Kris Lawrence and Dan DosSantos completed the top-five ahead of Jamie Klumper, Phil Givens, Nic Ramsay, Max Chechalk, and Dave Lyndh.

Robert Mercer was 11^th, followed by Karl Sault, Ryan Hillar, Nathan Rhea, Scott Entwistle, Justin Haanstra, Zach Bleich, Jeremy Bard, Carissa Kri, and Jim McTavish.

The endure competitors were encouraged to decorate their cars in the spirit of Halloween, and several did take part with cars covered in ghosts, spiders, and more. Jason Quesnel was able to take home the prize for the Best Appearing for his design.

Following the Enduro, the speedway hosted a demolition derby on the backstretch, allowing competitors to get frustration out as they collided with one another. After all the carnage, Blair Micklejohn was crowned the winner over RJ Filip and Mike Blackman.

The Halloween Enduro and Demolition Derby concludes the 2020 season at Flamboro Speedway. Officials are already hard at work in beginning to build towards next year in hopes of building on the success experienced despite COVID-19 affecting operations.
