It may have been a shortened season for the Knightworks Design OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park, but it doesn’t mean it was not packed with action.
As we take a look back at the year that was, here is a glance back statistical wise at this past season.
1.67 was the best average finish of all drivers this season, set by Trevor Thompson, across three starts
2 heat wins for Tom Walters made him the only multi-heat winner of 2020
3 drivers won a heat race this season – Walters, Scott Beatty, and Tyler Hawn
3 top-five’s by Steve Book, Thompson, and Walters led all drivers in 2020
3 drivers scored a top-10 in each feature this season – Book, Hawn, and Adrian Foster
3.5 was the second-best average finish of all drivers this season, set by Book, across all four features
4 features, 4 different winners this season – Book, Rob Bromley, Walters, and Thompson
4th was the third-best average finish of all drivers this season, set by Bromley and Billy Alderson Jr.
4.67 was the fourth-best average finish of all drivers this season, set by Paul Senior, across three starts
5th was the fifth-best average finish of all drivers this season, set by Walters and Jay Doerr
8 drivers ran all four events this season
8th was the best finish by Ed Bowlby in 2020, captured at Jukasa behind the wheel of Jim Blackwell’s ride.
10th was the best finish by Bill Clarke in 2020, coming at Jukasa in August
10 drivers scored a top-five finish this season
15.646 seconds was the quick lap laid down in qualifying by Hawn at Sauble in August
20 drivers scored a top-10 finish this season
20.627 seconds was the quick lap laid down in qualifying by Thompson at Jukasa in September
20.782 seconds was the quick lap laid down in qualifying by Book at Jukasa in August
25 consecutive top-10’s by Book, dating back to Sunset in May 2018, is a series record
26 of Dalen Martin scored a season-best ninth at Sauble in his new Ford Fairline
29 drivers competed in at least one event this season
71 of Doug Wilson impressed with a sixth in his series debut at Sauble
86 of Nick Clarke scored a season-best eighth at Sunset in September
88 of Jeremy McLean broke some of his bad luck with a pair of top-10s at Sauble and Sunset
