SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — After making his Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified debut a couple weeks ago, Coltin Everingham will be back behind the wheel of his familiar ride this weekend at Sauble Speedway.
“I’m excited to get back to Sauble,” he said. “We’ve had some highs there and some lows!”
Through previous appearances on the tight oval, Everingham has shown promise and ran up front, increasing confidence for the past Sunset Speedway Champion. Though to run well, he notes the biggest challenge will be getting through the tight corners at either end of the speedway.
Everingham has been behind the wheel of his No. 48 Zolo Reality, Ryan’s Landscaping, CRP, Eagle Eye Contracting entry once this year already, scoring a sixth-place finish at Flamboro Speedway.
“Flamboro was a win to us,” he commented. “After completely rebuilding the car over the winter to come out and be able to run in the top 10 was awesome.”
Knowing that field was riddled with some of the best in the province, it only helps confidence in knowing a lot of those same familiar strong front runners, along with some new ones, will be part of the field this weekend.
“With the shortened season, we’re getting a lot of cars that wouldn’t normally run with us in these races which is awesome,” he said. “Everyone’s bringing their best to these races so you need to be on the ball.”
