Running inside the top-10, Jordan Latimer saw his day end early at Flamboro Speedway’s Operation Green Flag as a result of an overheating issue.
The No. 90 Super Stock was quick in qualifying, with Latimer laying own a lap of 16.551 seconds to qualify second. Though with the six car invert, he would start the 50-lap feature from the fifth position. He would drop back to seventh in the early stages, simply saving equipment, ready to make his move in the second half.
Though just past the halfway mark on Lap 28, he began to slow, ultimately rolling to a stop to bring out the caution. With the high temperatures in the air, the car overheated, melting the wiring, resulting in the motor shutting off. He would be credited with a 22nd-place finish.
Thank you to Craig Ellis for the opportunity, as well as the rest of the team for their hard work all day long.
