Behind the wheel of new cars for the SKLD Motorsports team, both Austyn Jennett and Doug Wilman ran into some gremlins ending their days early.
The pair would show speed through the lone practice session ahead of the event, with Wilman showing promise for a solid finish as he had speed underneath him. In the qualifying session shortly thereafter, Wilman was able to post the 22nd quickest lap, with Jennett 29th on the grid.
As the team got ready for the 40-lap feature, it became apparent that mechanical issues were brewing, resulting in both drivers unable to take the green flag.
The SKLD Motorsports team has already began focusing on fixing the issues to both entries so they can be on-track and in action for the next event at Flamboro Speedway on July 25.
SKLD Motorsports is proud to receive sponsorship support from Hamilton Contracting, Wilman Haulage, and Orillia Auto Centre. Wilman is proud to receive additional marketing support from D’s Original Smoke Shack.
