OSCAAR is proud to announce that Ohsweken Speedway will be returning as the sponsor of the Knightworks Design OSCAAR Hot Rod Rookie of the Year Award.
“At Ohsweken Speedway, we are very proud of our association with the Hot Rod division,” Ohsweken Speedway General Manager Clinton Geoffrey said. “We are excited to continue supporting one of the most exciting, and engaging divisions in Ontario.”
Known as one of the premiere facilities in Ontario, Ohsweken Speedway runs a weekly Friday night racing program from May to September each year, featuring the 360 Sprint Cars, Crate Sprint Cars, Thunder Stocks, and Mini Stocks. The 3/8 dirt track also welcomes several premiere touring series throughout the year.
“Ohsweken Speedway will continue to provide first class entertainment weekly, along with our full slate of major events in 2020,” Geoffrey added. “We will be celebrating 25 years of racing excellence this season, and we expect it to be our best year yet.”
They will be hosting the first ever dirt race for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 18, as part of their two-day Northern Summer Nationals show. It has already been announced that NASCAR Gander Outdoor RV & Truck Series regular Stewart Friesen will be partaking in the event.
Other big events include the Triple Crown Showdown on July 6, and the 16th Annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals on September 19.
The 2020 campaign marks the fourth season for the Knightworks Design OSCAAR Hot Rods, and promises to be jam-packed with action as the series continues to grow. With over 40 drivers already pre-registered, and working in their garages on their rides, you’re going to want to check one of the most unique classes of racing in Ontario.
