Racing up front all season long from the first drop of the green flag to the last checkered of 2019, James Stanley placed second in the Living Lighting, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Pro Sprint standings.
Stanley was fast in the first feature of the season, finishing third at Sunset Speedway after winning a heat. The momentum carried into Grand Bend Speedway, with another finish of third.
The return to Sunset would see Stanley start at the back of the first feature, making his way through to finish third. He repeated the performance in the second 25-lap affair, this time placing one spot better in second. Stanley then finished off the month solidly, with a third at Flamboro Speedway.
The month of August started off strong, as Stanley made his way through the field after a mid-field starting spot to take the top spot, leading through the majority of the feature to score his first career series victory. He got to hold a checkered flag at the end of the month, winning one of his qualifiers at Flamboro before placing second in the feature after leading some laps.
The deuces continued into September, as he scored another runner-up finish and heat win at Grand Bend. He would start off the yearly trip to the beach well, running inside the top-three, until a mechanical issue relegated him to a ninth.
He would rebound strong at Sunset to complete the month though, propelling himself forward to the top-three after starting deep in the field to run with the leaders. He then made the pass in the final laps to score his second victory of 2019. He would back it up with a third in the second 25-lap affair that night.
A mid-race pass allowed him to continue finishing on the podium, as he scored a second at Flamboro Speedway after winning one of his qualifiers. He would then rebound following contact in qualifying to battle up front all Autumn Colours Classic race long en route to a runner-up.
On top of continuing to get better on the track, Stanley became one of the great ambassadors off of the track. He took charge behind the scenes in helping run the series, and helped keep everything progressing in the right direction.
