3rd in Living Lighting OSCAAR Pro Sprint Points – Rob Summers

Continuing to get faster while consistent on a weekly basis, Rob Summers would place third in the Living Lighting, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Pro Sprint standings.

He would start off the season with a strong run, finishing fifth in the opening feature at Sunset Speedway after leading the field to the green flag. He then backed it up with a sixth a week later at Grand Bend Speedway.

For the return to Sunset in July, he would put past feature winner Kelly Summers behind the wheel of the No. 31 entry. She ran upfront through the evening, finishing ninth in the first feature, followed by a eighth in the second 25-lap affair. Both Kelly and Rob were in action a week later at Flamboro Speedway, placing fifth and ninth respectively in the feature.

The month of August started off at Peterborough Speedway, with Rob running inside the top-five all feature long en route to finishing fourth. The culmination of the team’s hard work through the first half of the year would come together to close out the month, as Summers ran inside the top-five through the event at Flamboro Speedway, en route to placing third.

The positive momentum followed him into September, as he ran strong in both of his qualifying heats before placing third at Sauble Speedway. He then backed it up with a fourth a week later at Grand Bend.

The short track playoffs would see the series return to Sunset, with Summers building upon his previous performances to place seventh and fifth in the pair of features. He then followed it up with a ninth at Flamboro a couple weeks later.

The season would finish off on a high for Summers, as he was able to cap off the year by placing fifth in the Autumn Colours Classic feature at Peterborough.

Rob Summers has been involved with the Pro Sprints from the initial season, and it shows as fans have watched the team progress and continue to get faster, which was displayed through their results this past season.
