PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Driving three different cars throughout the weekend at the Autumn Colours Classic, Wally Wilson was able to cap off the year with some solid performances.
Wilson started off the weekend by finishing 10th in his first Outlaw Midget heat, followed by a fifth in the second qualifier.
Starting the No. 69 Outlaw Midget on pole, he was ahead of the early wrecks, pacing the field for the opening three laps unchallenged. Though over the next four laps, he would drop back to fifth, remaining there until the race’s second caution on Lap 19. Restarting on the third row, he would battle to the checkered flag en route to finishing seventh.
Starting 16th for the 50-lap feature, he’d avoid a couple incidents and battle throughout the feature, crossing the finish line with a 15th-place finish.
Wilson also took part in the Mini Stock Young Gun’s Showcase event on Friday night, finishing inside the top-10. Thanks to Brandon Feeney for the opportunity.
