INNISFIL, Ontario — Putting together a pair of solid performances, Robbie Sikes was able to walk away from Sunset Speedway on Saturday night with two top-10 finishes.
Putting in a lap of 15.058 seconds during qualifying, Robbie Sikes would start 11th in the first feature on the evening. He’d battle hard from the drop of the green flag, running side-by-side throughout the 35-lap event, en route to crossing the finish line in 10th.
Starting eighth in the second feature, he’d once again battle hard from the drop of the green flag, escaping each of the incidents without any issues, en route to finishing eighth.
The result ultimately gives the team confidence heading into the last month of racing, as it marked their sixth top-10 of 2019.
With a twin 35-lap features on deck for Saturday, September 7 at Sunset Speedway, Sikes will hope to combine patience with speed, and be there when it counts at the checkered flag with a solid run.
