DURHAM, Ontario — Battling upfront through both features, Travis McLean scored a pair of third-place finishes on Saturday night at Full Throttle Motor Speedway.
Starting tail of the first feature, he would methodically move his way up through the field, using a mid-race caution to his advantage to gain some more ground. Ultimately, he came up with a third-place finish.
Starting on pole for the second feature, he led some laps at the beginning, but developed a tight condition and was unable to hold off the two competitors behind him. They’d ultimately get by, resulting in another third-place finish.
Through six races thus far for McLean, as he has finished fourth or better in each 20 lap affair.
“We are very happy with the progress of Travis’ driving and we are getting real close with the car,” team owner Derek McLean commented. “We just need some tweaks. We will be putting the car in the shop for a couple weeks getting it prepared for our next race at Jukasa Motor Speedway.”
