Making the mid-race pass for the lead, Tom Walters held on the rest of the way to win the St. Onge Recreation Super Stock feature at Sunset Speedway.
The first heat did not start off smoothly, with Dan Archibald making contact with Brandon Passer, stacking up the field which resulted in Gerrit Tiemersma going around. Brandon Passer picked up the win ahead of Ethan Constable, Coltin Everingham, Tiemersma, Walters, Archibald, and Frank Davey.
Frank Davey won the second heat ahead of Walters, Everingham, Constable, Tiemersma, Archibald, Dustyn Mombourquette, and Passer.
Come feature time, Coltin Everingham started pole ahead of Brandon Passer, Gerrit Tiemersma, Frank Davey, Dustyn Mombourquette, Tom Walters, Ethan Constable, and Dan Archibald.
The drop of the green flag would see a battle for the lead between Passer and Everingham, as Davey and Tiemersma battled for third. Passer took the lead on Lap 3 ahead of Everingham, with Davey grabbing third a lap later ahead of Walters and Tiemersma.
The first caution would come out on Lap 4 for Tiemersma spinning in turn three with a flat tire. Constable caught Tiemersma as he went around, causing front end damage which would end Constable’s feature early.
The first attempt at a restart produced the second caution, with officials saying Passer jumped the start. The second attempt went cleanly with Passer holding serve ahead of Walters, Everingham, Davey, Archibald and Mombourquette. Archibald would get alongside Davey for fourth on Lap 8, as Mombourquette and Tiemersma battled for sixth. Davey would hold serve though, keeping the spot.
Walters would track down Passer for the lead, getting alongside on Lap 11, taking the top spot two laps later. Passer now ran second ahead of Everingham, Davey, Archibald, Tiemersma, and Mombourquette.
The field would run single file through the second half of the feature, with Tom Walters picking up the win ahead of Brandon Passer, Coltin Everingham, Frank Davey, Dan Archibald, Gerrit Tiemersma, and Dustyn Mombourquette.
