Ryan D’Antimo Makes Late Pass on Matt Boyes for Bone Stock Victory

It came down to the final laps, but Ryan D’Antimo managed to make his way by Matt Boyes to win the Signs of Innovation Bone Stock feature at Sunset Speedway.

Joe Dunlop won the first heat ahead of Boyes, Scott McGregor, Aundrea Lusk, Cheyenne Charles, and Curtis Young.

Ryan D’Antimo won the second heat ahead of Jeff Laflamme, Josh Inglis, Austyn Jennett, Andrew Shilling, and Karlie Wilman.

Matt Boyes won the third heat ahead of McGregor, Lusk, Dunlop, and Charles.

Ryan D’Antimo went for the daily double ahead of Laflamme, Inglis, Jennett, Shilling, and Wilman.

Come feature time, Andrew Shilling led the field to green ahead of Karlie Wilman, Cheyenne Charles, Aundrea Lusk, Austyn Jennett, Matt Boyes, Joe Dunlop, Jeff Laflamme, Scott McGregor, Curtis Young, Ryan D’Antimo, and Josh Inglis.

Shilling grabbed the early lead, with Charles, Lusk, and Wilman three-wide for second. Boyes managed to get by all three of them, getting alongside Shilling for the lead on the second lap. Boyes then took over the lead on Lap 3 ahead of Shilling, Dunlop, and Charles. McGregor would then make his way around Charles for fourth on Lap 4.

With five laps on the board, Boyes continued to lead now ahead of McGregor, with Dunlop three-wide for third with Lusk and Charles. Lusk got the spot on Lap 6 ahead of Charles and D’Antimo, as Dunlop headed pit side with mechanical issues.

Boyes would continue to lead ahead of McGregor, with Lusk and D’Antimo side-by-side for third. However, the caution would come out on Lap 7 for debris on the backstretch.

Boyes got a good restart to keep the lead ahead of McGregor, with D’Antimo moving into third. He would get alongside McGregor for second on lap 9, taking the spot a lap later. Laflamme would try to challenge McGregor for third,  but was unable to complete the pass.

Lusk now ran fifth, with Jennett and Charles side-by-side for sixth ahead of Inglis. Heading into turn one, Wilman would lock up the tires, sliding up the track but avoiding the turn one wall. On the same lap, her SKLD Motorsports teammate Jennett brought out the caution on Lap 13 for losing his right front tire in turn four.

Boyes got a good restart ahead of D’Antimo, with Laflamme and McGregor side-by-side for third, as Charles and Inglis battled for fifth ahead of Shilling. Inglis would get the fifth spot on Lap 16 ahead of Charles, and Shilling.

At the front of the field, D’Antimo got alongside Boyes for the top spot on Lap 17, as the battle continued for third. D’Antimo would then take the lead as they came to the white flag.

Ryan D’Antimo picked up the win ahead of Matt Boyes, Scott McGregor, and Kris Inglis. Cheyenne Charles finished fifth, followed by Andrew Shilling, Karlie Wilman, Aundrea Lusk, Curtis Young, Austyn Jennett, and Joe Dunlop.
