HAMILTON, Ontario — The good finishes keep on coming for Wally Wilson Racing, as the third-year driver scored his second straight top-12 finish on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.
Wally Wilson started off the night solidly, finishing seventh in his first heat, followed by another seventh in the second qualifier after leading the field to the green flag.
Starting 15th in the feature, Wilson looked poised to make up ground, making some early passes to run 14th with just five laps on the board. He’d continue to move forward throughout the second half of the feature, ultimately crossing the finish line in 12th.
It seems that 12 is the lucky number for Wilson, as he is currently ranked 12th in the year-long standings despite missing an event.
Wilson will be back behind the wheel of his No. 69 Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified on Saturday, August 3 at Peterborough Speedway. He raced earlier this season at the third-mile oval, behind the wheel of his Outlaw Midget.
Wally Wilson Racing will receive sponsorship support from The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Larry’s Small Engines, Have1.com, NGK Spark Plugs, and Wix Filters for 2019. He will also be proudly supporting the #BurnOutTheBully campaign and Laps 4 Muscular Dystrophy (L4MD) program.
