DURHAM, Ontario — Running up front throughout the Rick Woolner Memorial, Luke Gignac would score a podium finish on Saturday night at Full Throttle Motor Speedway.
Starting the 50-lap feature from the seventh position, Gignac was able to avoid an early crash on Lap 2 to move up into the top-five. He would then out-battle fellow competitors Gary Elliott and T.J. Edwards through the first half of the feature to get up into the top-three. He then put together a solid back half of the feature, crossing the finish line in the third position.
Gignac will be back in action at Delware Speedway on Friday, July 12 for the next round of Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified competition. Gignac currently sits sixth in the standings, four points outside of the top-five.
