Bone Stocks

WHERE TO WATCH: Saturday, June 1

Each week, Short Track Musings will be releasing a guide of where to catch some short track asphalt racing action across Ontario.

Although known for their Friday night shows, Delaware Speedway will instead run the season opener for the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup on Saturday night alongside their Late Models and Super Stocks.

After an exciting first round for the Grisdale Triple Crown, the Grisdale Racing Products Late Models are back in action this weekend at Flamboro Speedway with the third night of regular season competition. It is worth noting that points leader J.R. Fitzpatrick will not be in attendance, too.

Also, Saturday night marks the second appearance of the season for T.Q. Can-Am Midgets following an exciting pair of features last month. They will be joined by the Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Ray’s Towing & Recovery Super Stocks, and the Pro 4 Modifieds.

First Responders will be appreciated on Saturday night at Full Throttle Motor Speedway in a night that will see the Kid Stocks, Junior Cup, Thunder Trucks, Fun Stocks, Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, Late Models and Crazy Trains in action. To date, Brian WIlson has won half of the mini stock events run.

Grand Bend Speedway will have the Jr. A Sprints, Jr. Late Models, 9hp Mods, Pro Trucks and Bone Stocks in action on Saturday night.

Jukasa Motor Speedway kicks off their 2019 campaign in a big way, hosting the second round for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series as Kevin Lacroix looks to go back-to-back. It will be an action-packed day overall with the Queenston Chevrolet OSCAAR Modifieds and Knightworks Design OSCAAR Hot Rods also in action.

Peterborough Speedway will be busy on Saturday night with their second toonie night of the season. The Ontario Legends Series will run their second night of competition for 2019 as Nick Ledson looks to go back-to-back. They will be joined by the Bone Stocks, Mini Stocks, Renegade Trucks, and Late Models.

With only one night of points racing in the books, Sunset Speedway is certainly ready to get in their next night of action. Recall, they haven’t ran a feature since May 11 when Dwayne Baker make a dramatic last lap pass on both Rick Spencer-Walt and Nick Goetz to score the victory in the Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model division.

The St. Onge Recreation, G.D. Coates Used Car Superstore, and Signs of Innovation Bone Stocks are also on deck to be in action on Saturday night. The Bone Stocks will be looking for their third straight different feature winner after watching Joe Dunlop and Kyle Neumeister win the first two events.
