Karlie Wilman Overcomes Adversity in Spring Velocity Feature

INNISFIL, Ontario — Despite some contract throughout the 20-lap feature, Karlie Wilman was able to put together another solid showing in her second career Bone Stock start.

Wilman would finish seventh in her qualifying heat, setting her up to start 14th for the 20-lap feature. She began to move forward, running 12th with just five laps on the board. A mid-race restart would see the racing get interesting, with Wilman stuck in the middle of four-wide.

Despite receiving contact in the door that caused her to slide sideways, she was able to regain control and keep going, only losing a single spot in the process. She’d fight back through the back half of the feature, crossing the line with a 13th-place finish.

Wilman will continue her season this weekend at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, May 25.

Wilman and SKLD Motorsports is proud to receive sponsorship from Orillia Auto Centre, All Area Towing, The Car Guy, Orillia Buy Sell Trade, and The Creative Plate Eatery for 2019.
