PETERBOROUGH, Ontario – Wally Wilson would finish his 2018 OSCAAR Modified campaign on a solid note with a top-15 finish at Peterborough Speedway’s Autumn Colours Classic.
Wilson started off the weekend by finishing ninth in his first heat on Friday night, followed by a seventh in the second qualifier on Saturday.
Starting 21st for Sunday’s feature, Wilson avoided the first lap incident in turn one to gain a pair of positions. Restarting inside the top-20, he’d remain there through the early laps, continuing to avoid various spins by competitors. His perseverance would pay off as he’d make his way up to 15th by the halfway mark of the feature. He then missed some incidents in the final 10 laps despite not having power steering at the time, to cross the finish line in 15th.
With consistency throughout the 2018 campaign, Wally Wilson was able to cap off the 2018 OSCAAR Modified season ranked 10th in the final points standing.
