Following a solid start to the season at Sunset Speedway, Lajeunesse Motorsports enters the month of June with positive thoughts on their side, following five top-10’s in the first month of racing.
Last Saturday saw Maltese start the first feature from sixth, battling side-by-side with Connor James for fifth in the early stages, before taking the spot at Lap 10 to get alongside Ron Quesnelle for fourth. While he was unable to get the spot and slipped back to seventh through the middle portion of the feature, he used the final laps to fight back for a sixth-place finish.
The second feature would see Maltese start off the event in ninth, running solidly there through the middle portion of the feature, even challenging for eighth, but ultimately crossing the finish line in 10th.
The team will hope to run in the top-10 once again on Saturday, June 9 in the next night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model competition at Sunset Speedway. Maltese currently ranks sixth in the standings following three nights of racing.
Lajeunesse Motorsports is proud to be supported by Paragon Office Installation Services, Delmeade Construction Ltd., Ontario Acoustic Supply Inc., and Ontario Steel Sales Inc.
