The opening lap would see a battle for the lead between Gettliffe and Cole McFadden, with Foisy, Adam Cuthbertson, and Haufe three-wide for third on Lap 2. Behind them, Wesley Cuthbertson ran fourth ahead of Adams, Fiorini, and McCelland.
