Running strong in both features at Frostoberfest, Lisa DeLeeuw was able to come home with a 10th-place finish overall.
DeLeeuw missed qualifying on Saturday, forcing her to start at the back of the pack in 28th for Sunday’s first 30-lap feature. She began to make up ground from the drop of the green flag, though, missing an incident on Lap 6 along with some passes to move up to 22nd. She would then pick up three more spots to 18th by the second caution at Lap 11. Continuing to move forward, she broke into the top-15 with 13 laps to go, en route to picking up a 14th-place finish.
Starting seventh in the second feature, she moved up to fourth in the first three laps. Though with some of the faster cars making their way through the field, she dropped back to seventh over the next 10 laps. She’d battle hard, though, not losing positions, en route to an eighth-place finish.
Her pair of results averaged together, compared to the rest of the competitors, resulted in a 10th-place finish overall for the event.
