After winning the Flamboro Speedway Pro 4 Modified Championship, Dan Nanticoke put the perfect wrap on the season by winning their Frostoberfest feature this past weekend.
Dan Nanticoke won their qualifying heat ahead of Mark Lucas, Shannon Morris, Gillian Hills, Mike Westwood, Brian Nanticoke, Rodney Rutherford, Vic Devris, Aaron Turkey, and Linc Ericson.
Come feature time, Aaron Turkey started pole ahead of Rodney Rutherford, Brian Nanticoke, Mike Westwood, Gillian Hils, Mark Lucas, Linc Ericson, Dan Nanticoke, and Vic Devris.
Turkey jumped out to the early lead ahead of Rutherford, Brian Nanticoke, Lucas, Westwood, and Dan Nanticoke. It didn’t take long for the shuffling to start, though, as Lucas made his way up to second behind Turkey on Lap 3, followed in toe by Rutherford and Dan Nanticoke. Behind them, Brian Nanticoke ran fifth ahead of Devris, Ericson, and Hils. Unfortunately, Ericson’s run came to an end on Lap 5 as he stopped on the frontstretch with a problem.
Mark Lucas got a good restart to take the lead as Dan Nanticoke got alongside Turkey for second. Nanticoke got the spot on Lap 7 with Rutherford rounding out the top-four. Brian Nanticoke challenged him for the spot, though was unable to complete the pass.
At the front, Dan Nanticoke got alongside Lucas for the lead on Lap 9, with the pair battling till the second caution flew on Lap 10 for Devries spinning around in turn two.
The restart saw a continuation of the battle for the lead, with Dan Nanticoke taking the top spot on Lpa 12 ahead of Lucas, as Rutherford and Brian Nanticoke battled for third. There’d be contact, with Rutherford sustaining enough damage to see him leave the track on Lap 13. As a result, Brian Nanticoke moved up into third ahead of Turkey, Hils, and Devris.
Dan Nanticoke picked up the win ahead of Mark Lucas, Brian Nanticoke, Aaron Turkey, Gillian Hils, and Vic Devris.
