With just four weeks left on the schedule at Sunset Speedway, DY Racing is set to end off the year as strong as possible.
Last week, the team was able to have success as both Lisa DeLeeuw and Eric Yorke scored a victory in their qualifying heats. The first round saw Trevor Hemingway finish seventh in the first qualifier, followed by DeLeeuw third in the second and Yorke second in the third. The second round saw Hemingway sixth with wins for both DeLeeuw and Yorke in theirs.
Come feature time, DeLeeuw started up front in third with Yorke 10th and Hemingway deep in the field. DeLeeuw ran up front early, though fell back to 10th while Yorke made his way forward, running running as of Lap 7. All three competitors battled hard throughout, though, with Yorke placing fourth followed by DeLeeuw in 10th and Hemingway in 18th.
Now entering the 14th night of competition, DeLeeuw will be hoping for her sixth top-10, and a 13th top-five for Yorke on Saturday, August 26.
