After showing speed last week, Zac Sprung and team ran into mechanical problems on the second night of competition at Sauble Speedway.
With repairs made following the first week incident, Sprung was confident heading into Friday night. However, distributor issues during the first heat forced him to pull off the track, resulting in an early end to his night of racing.
Sprung will be back in action for the next night of competition at Sauble Speedway on Saturday, July 8.
While his eyes are set on having success, he’s also raising money for Camp Bucko, which stands for “Burn Camp for Kids.” It is a place for children who have been involved in traumatic accidents and fires resulting in serious burn injuries. With just one week of competition in the books, he has already raised $200 towards the year-end goal of $5000.
Be sure to stop by and see Sprung at the track, as for a minimum donation of $5, you will be allowed to autograph his racecar. Fans interested in making a donation online can do so by going to www.campbucko.ca, making sure to mention Zach Sprung #4 firefriendsfamily campaign to link it to the fundraising efforts at the track.
