Gallant and Ecker Split Super Stock Features at Flamboro

On Saturday night, a pair of veterans visited super stock victory lane with Kevin Gallant and Steve Ecker scoring feature wins.

The first feature did not start cleanly, with front row starters Brad Collison and Chris Howse getting together down the backstretch on Lap 1, and making contact with the wall. Collision was done for the evening with heavy front end damage, while Howse was able to continue after a trip to the pits. A second caution flew quickly at Lap 13 with Brandon Robertson spinning in turn one.

Once the front row crashed, it handed the lead over to third place starter Kevin Gallant. Despite being challenged heavily by both Shawn Arnott and Nick Troback, Gallant held the pair off to score his first feature victory of 2017. It marks the second straight win for the No.31 entry, though, as Brandon McFerran picked up a win the week prior.

Arnott finished second for his third top-five of 2017, followed by Troback. Howse rebounded for a fourth-place finish, with Carson Nagy rounding out the top-five. Coltin Everingham finished sixth in his first start of 2017 at Flamboro, followed by Steve Ecker, Robertson, Bobby Mercer, R.J. Croteau, A.J. Miller, and Collison.

The second feature saw Ecker start on pole, and despite being heavily challenged by Nagy in the beginning stages, followed by Troback in the late stages, he was able to hold on and score the victory. Troback used a bump-and-run on Nagy in the last five laps to finish second, with Arnott third and Nagy fourth. Howse rounded out the top-five, ahead of Gallant, Robertson, Everingham, Mercer, and Miller.
