Another season of points competition at Flamboro Speedway has come to a close, with five new champions being crowned on Saturday night.
With all eyes on the championship battle for the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series, the rest of the field was set on stealing the glory with a trip to victory lane.
Despite a thunderstorm knocking at the backdoor ready to crash the party at any minute, Flamboro Speedway officials were able to push through and get the whole night of action-packed racing in for the fans.
With the sun shining bright over the oval, the drivers battled hard throughout the night en route to seeing a couple first time feature winners.
Known for getting behind the wheel of anything with four wheels across the province, Mike Westwood has been hard at work in his shop this off-season. On top of preparing cars for other drivers, he has also built himself a new modified to run as part of the 2019 OSCAAR Modified tour.
