The opening night of the 2017 campaign for Walt Motorsports had a bit of everything as Rick Spencer-Walt posted a top-five in the first feature, while getting caught up in a couple cautions during the second.
The efforts by JL Motorsports to overhaul their program during the off-season look to be paying off, as Jordan Latimer posted a pair of top-10 finishes on opening night at Sunset Speedway.
The fans didn’t have to wait long at Sunset Speedway for an exciting finish, as Taylor Holdaway edged Gord Shepherd by 0.021 seconds to score the victory on the opening night of Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model action.
After winning the track championship last year, Gord Shepherd picked up where he left off in scoring the victory in the first Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model feature of 2017.
Over the past few years, the compliments and hype surrounding Sunset Speedway’s top division has continued to grow with a mix of past champions, feature winners, experience, and youth at the wheel.

JL Motorsports is proud to announce that Jordan Latimer’s No. 90 Limited Late Model at Sunset Speedway will once again be sponsored by Krueger Electrical Services.
While original plans for JL Motorsports appeared to be sending the team in a different direction, there’s been a change in heart. The team officially confirmed a couple weeks ago they will be returning to Sunset Speedway’s Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Limited Late Model division for 2017.
