Jake Sheridan Victorious in Second Round of Grisdale Showdown Series at Flamboro Speedway

MILLGROVE, Ontario — After finding victory lane with the APC Series, Jake Sheridan carried the momentum forward to win the second round of the Grisdale Showdown Series at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, June 6th.

Jake Sheridan worked his way forward from the third row on the start of the event, moving into the runner-up spot just before the halfway mark. He then found his way to the lead on Lap 35, and did not look back en route to pacing the final 15 laps to victory lane.

Flamboro Speedway veteran Shawn Chenoweth was second ahead of Shae Gemmell, who won the opening round. Billy Schwartzenburg and Dale Shaw completed the top-five in front of Blair Wickett, Kevin Albers, Gerritt Tiemersma, Jacob Sutcliffe, and Tyler Di Venanzo. Kevin Gallant, Billy Zardo, Josh Gruntz, Darren Jones, and Connor Maltese rounded out the field.

Parker Traves led flag-to-flag to win the Great Lakes Legend Series feature ahead of Andy Kamrath, Hudson Nagy, Chris Milwain, and Austin Arnell. Gibson Baker made his way forward for sixth in front of Chase Stievenart, Mackenzie Milwain, Nathan Killins, and Dave Sharpe. Cole McFadden was inside the top-five much of the event, crossing the finish line with an 11th-place finish after contact, followed by Todd Tolton, Cole Kamrath, Austin Seburn, Brandon Vanderwel, RJ Hrevnak, Bob Bailey, Gillian Hils, Kent Robson, Josh Hollestelle, and Nathan Huffman.

Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modified defending champion TJ Marshall won the first feature ahead of Ty Riopelle, Mike Podd, Mike Klotz, and Chris Pendlebury. Jordan Ramsbottom led the opening laps, though fell back shortly thereafter. He was able to rebound for sixth in front of Jay Linde, Steve Murdoch, Ian McIntyre, and Alexandria Ditner. RJ Croteau, Jason Keen, Dustin Hood, and Dave Evison Sr. completed the field.

Jordan Ramsbottom led flag-to-flag to win the second feature ahead of Mike Podd, TJ Marshall, Chris Pendlebury, and Jay Linde. Mike Klotz battled for a top-five, falling short with a sixth in front of Ian McIntyre, Dustin Hood, Alexandria Ditner, and RJ Croteau. Ty Riopelle completed the field.

Wyatt Sutcliffe took the lead on Lap 2 of the Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stock feature, pacing the rest of the feature en route to the victory ahead of Shawn Taylor, Tyler Lewis, Matt Young, and Blaise Shaw. Mike Thomson ran as a high as second, fading back late for sixth, in front of Ryan Edwards-Kiss, Louis Mehlenbacher, Madisson Tienkamp, and Andrew Smith. Michael Kenny and Bobby Mercer completed the field.

Blaise Shaw dominated the second feature for his second win of 2026 ahead of Tyler Lewis, Shawn Taylor, Matt Young, and Mike Thomson. Wyatt Sutcliffe battled his way to sixth in front of Andrew Smith, Ryan Edwards-Kiss, Louis Mehlenbacher, Madisson Tienkamp, Michael Kenny, and Bobby Mercer.

Matt Young took the lead with six laps to go to win a close Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stock feature ahead of Spencer Riddell, Rodney Rutherford, Chase Mitchell, and Chance Rogers. Brandyn Milligan rebounded from his night one rollover for sixth in front of Jake Watson, Rick Mitchell, Megan Mitchell, and Rachel Mitchell. Elijah Hawrylyshyn broke into the top-10 mid-race, but fell back in the final laps for 11th, followed by Jeremy Hughes, John Cote, William Young, Leo Labarbera, and Randy Rodgers.

Last year’s Pure Stock Champion John Cote went flag-to-flag to win the second feature ahead of Rodney Rutherford, Brandyn Milligan, Rick Mitchell, and Chase Mitchell. Matt Young drove his way through traffic for sixth in front of Chance Rogers, Rachel Mitchell, Spencer Riddell, and Leo Labarbera. Jake Watson ran inside the top-10, dropping back in the final laps for 11th, followed by Elijah Hawrylyshyn, Jeremy Hughes, William Young, and Hailey Hill.

This weekend at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, June 13 will feature the Iron Man 100 for the Ontario Sportsman Series. The night also includes the Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stocks, Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stocks, and Spectator Drags at intermission.
