Jake Spencer-Walt Scores First Career Mini Stock Feature Victory

INNISFIL, Ontario — In just his fourth race with the Mini Stock division, Jake Spencer-Walt is proving he can get the job done in scoring his first career feature victory this past Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

The third generation racer did not have a strong start to the day, placing eighth in his qualifying heat. He would be forced to run the b-main, showing speed en route to a second-place finish.

With looking to have the carb issues the team battled through qualifying behind them, Spencer-Walt was ready to move forward and did just that, cracking the top-five with just seven laps on the board. He made his way up into fourth with 10 laps to go prior to the race’s final yellow flag with six laps remaining.

The leaders would get together ahead of him coming to the white flag, but he did not let off the gas pedal. He was able to sneak by Cameron McGlashan at the line, and was awarded with the checkered flag. It marks his first career feature victory since moving up to the Mini Stock division.

Spencer-Walt Motorsports is proud to be supported by Dunlop Billiards Sports Bar & Eatery, Epic Racewear, Rustic Edge designs by Joe, B&B General Contracting, G. D.
