LONDON, Ontario — After watching his weekend have a wrinkle put in it on the first lap back in July at Delaware Speedway, Andy Kamrath was back to his usual form in this trip to the half-mile oval. He would dominate the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam it feature fueled by Touchwood Cabinets on Saturday night.

Jason Keen won the first heat ahead of Andy Kamrath, Marshall Schrenk, Bryan Batty, Norman Newman, Steve Trendell, Tyler Liscum, and Mark Hamacher.

TJ Edwards was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Jamie Cox, Dale Reinhart, Paul Townsend, Scott Beatty, Tommy Robb, and Wally Wilson.

Bryan Batty and Paul Townsend would lead the field to green for the feature, with Batty grabbing the early advantage on the opening lap as Townsend battled Marshall Schrenk for second. Schrenk got the spot, only to be challenged by Andy Kamrath as he quickly made his way through the field after starting seventh.

Kamrath got the spot on Lap 4, and began tracking down the advantage Batty had been able to build up. Meanwhile, Cox saw his first start of the 2022 campaign come to an end early, forced down pit road with an issue.

Kamrath was able to close the gap that Batty had gained on the field quickly, putting himself on the rear bumper of the No. 39 with six laps on the board. He would get alongside Batty for the lead for the next two laps, with the caution flying for Tyler Liscum slowing on the backstretch.

Kamrath got a restart, taking over the advantage at the front of the field with Batty second ahead of Schrenk, TJ Edwards, and Dale Reinhart. Reinhart unfortunately would not have the run he hoped for, being passed by both Norman Newman and Steve Trendell on Lap 16. Edwards, meanwhile, found himself trending in the right direction as he got by Schrenk for third on Lap 17, bringing Keen through with him.

The middle portion of the feature would see the field spread out around the half-mile, but the final eight laps saw the gap tighten between Edwards, Keen, and Schrenk. Keen looked to make the move on Edwards for third as they weaved their way through lap traffic, but got hung up behind Tommy Robb. Schrenk was able to take advantage, getting by both in the process. Keen then followed him through, courtesy of a small bump to the back of Edwards.

Andy Kamrath picked up the checkered flag in front of Bryan Batty, Marshall Schrenk, Jason Keen, and Norman Newman. Steve Trendell, who had ran in the top-10 all race, found himself with a broken left front suspension piece on the last lap.

The next scheduled event is set for Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, October 1.
