Adam Cuthbertson Comes Out on Top in Three-Way Battle for Legend Victory

INNISFIL, Ontario — The anticipation for the Canadian Legend Nationals at Sunset Speedway continued to grow that much more on Saturday night, courtesy of a thriller by the Canadian Legend Car Series in front of a packed house. Ultimately, it was Adam Cuthbertson coming out on top with the victory.

Jordan Latimer picked up the victory in the first heat in front of Paul Perik, Nick Portt, Glenn Morris, Glenn Lloyd, and Jeff McKibbon.

Hudson Nagy won the second qualifier ahead of Adam Cuthbertson, Parker Traves, Wesley Cuthbertson, and Dawson Drimmie.

Paul Perik picked up the victory in the third heat in front of Latimer, Portt, Morris, Lloyd, and McKibbon.

Adam Cuthbertson won the fourth qualifier ahead of Traves, Nagy, Wesley Cuthbertson, Drimmie, and Zach Latimer.

Come feature time, Hudson Nagy started pole in front of Paul Perik, Jordan Latimer, Adam Cuthbertson, Wesley Cuthbertson, Glenn Morris, Nick Portt, Parker Traves, Jeff McKibbon, Zach Latimer, Dawson Drimmie, and Glenn Lloyd.

Hudson Nagy grabbed the early advantage in front of Jordan Latimer, Adam Cuthbertson, Wesley Cuthbertson, Perik, Portt, Traves, Nagy, Drimmie, Morris, Lloyd, and McKibbon. Adam Cuthbertson would challenge Latimer for second on Lap 5, completing the pass a lap later, bringing Wesley through with him. Latimer now ran fourth in front of Perik and Portt, with Zach Latimer and Drimmie side-by-side for seventh, with Drimmie completing the pass on Lap 10.

The battle for the lead got interesting on Lap 14, with Adam Cuthbertson getting alongside Nagy for the top spot. He was unsuccessful in his challenge, with Traves challenging Cuthbertson for second. Things then got real interesting, though, when Cuthbertson and Traves took Nagy three-wide for the top spot on Lap 20, with Traves coming out on top in front of Cuthbertson and Nagy. Cuthbertson wasn’t ready to settle, though, making another challenge for the top spot and completing the pass on the last lap.

Adam Cutherson took the victory in front of Parker Traves and Hudson Nagy.
