MILLGROVE, Ontario — Leading laps and running up front all race long, Cole Quinton battled to a podium finish on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.

With a 40-lap feature scheduled, the track elected to do time trials instead of heats, with Quinton laying down a lap of 17.937 seconds to put him second on the board.

Starting up front, he was able to make his way forward quickly, taking the top spot on Lap 4. He would build up a lead ahead of the field, though found it being erased as the race drew closer to the halfway point. Challenged for the top spot, Quinton battled back against his fellow competitor, though ultimately forwent the position.

He continued to string together strong laps through the second half of the feature, en route to a second-place finish.

It marks six straight podium performances, and notably through 16 races this season, Quinton has now scored two victories and 15 top-five finishes.
