INNISFIL, Ontario — After being deemed as involved in an incident on-track, Chris Allard was able to rebound for a top-10 finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Allard was fast at the start of the night, as evident by a third-place finish in the first heat. He then backed it up with another in the second qualifier.
Starting fifth for the feature, he was able to work his way up to third in the opening laps, remaining there until the race’s first yellow flag at Lap 6. Restarting on the third row, he would go to make his way forward, when a fellow competitor went around for the second caution. Allard was deemed as being involved, sent to the rear for the restart.
Starting from the tail of the field, he would work his way quickly back up to seventh, looking to continue making his way forward. He would make another move in the final five laps, allowing him to cross the finish line in sixth.
It marks his eighth straight top-10.
