INNISFIL, Ontario — When Calvin Reesor was looking for someone to fill-in on Saturday night, he turned his No. 2 Nissan over to Mike Brown. It was the right decision, as Brown scored a hat trick in Bone Stock competition on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Mike Brown won the first heat in front of Brandon Steele, Jordan Owen, Jacob Booth, Kris Khan, Nicholas Reece, Cash Ireton, Mike Robinson III, and Steve Oakes.
Mike Brown went for the daily double in front of Owen, Khan, Booth, Ireton, Reece, Robinson III, Oakes, and Steele.
Aundrea Lusk repeated as well, this time in front of Shilling, Jennett, Walker, and Wilman.
Come feature time, Cole Walker started pole in front of Nicholas Reece, Austyn Jennett, Kris Khan, Calvin Reesor, Jordan Owen, Brandon Steele, Andrew Shilling, Aundrea Lusk, Jacob Booth, Cash Ireton, Karlie Wilman, Steve Oakes, and Mike Robinson III.
Mike Brown jumped out to the early advantage on the opening lap in front of Khan and Steele, with Lusk challenging Steele for third on Lap 2, as Booth and Walker battled for fifth. Steele held her off, challenging Khan for second a lap later. Steele then moved into second on Lap 4, bringing Lusk through with him as Khan ran fourth in front of Shilling, Booth, Owen, and Walker. Walker’s race had an interesting twist, as he and his teammate Reece made contact on the frontstretch, with both continuing on.
Jennett would challenge Walker for eighth, as Owen challenged Booth for sixth. Owen got the spot on Lap 9, as Booth now ran seventh in front of Jennett, Reece, Wilman, Walker, Robinson III, Ireton, and Oakes. Shilling would then challenge Khan for fourth on Lap 12, with Lusk alongside Steele a lap later for second. Lusk’s challenge was unsuccessful, but Shilling was able to snag the fourth spot.
Mike Brown led the rest of the way en route to winning in front of Brandon Steele, Aundrea Lusk, Andrew Shilling, and Kris Khan. Jordan Owen was sixth, followed by Jacob Booth, Austyn Jennett, Nicholas Reece, and Karlie Wilman. Mike Robinson III placed 11th in front of Cole Walker and Cash Ireton.
