MILLGROVE, Ontario — Continuing to find speed and consistency at Flamboro Speedway paid off for Cole Quinton on Saturday night, courtesy of a trip to victory lane.
Starting on pole for the first feature, he would survive a series of challenges for the top spot from a variety of competitors, including the current points leader as well as provincial veterans. However, despite it all even with a bit of close racing, he was able to hold on through the 25 laps to take home the checkered flag.
The second feature saw him start at the back, but he did not let that stop him. Instead, he began to make his way forward from the drop of the green flag, breaking into the top-five with just four laps on the board. He would get up to fourth by Lap 5, and set his sights on another podium performance. He was able to make his move with just a couple laps on the board, crossing the finish line with a third.
It marks five straight podium performances, and notably through 15 races this season, Quinton has now scored two victories and 14 top-five finishes.
