GRAND BEND, Ontario — The action is about to become tight, fast, and furious for the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil as they head to the tight confines of the ¼-mile paved oval known as Grand Bend Speedway on July 16.
Mike Bradley will enter this weekend ranked third in the standings, following five top-nine finishes including a season-best third at Sunset Speedway. As a whole, the success is no surprise with having scored 16 top-five’s in the past 20 races.
Larry Lawson, meanwhile, has experienced mixed success in 2022 with three top-five’s to go with two results outside of the top-10. Notably, though, he currently ranks fourth in points and has momentum with the fifth in the second event at Sauble Speedway.
Rob Harrison may be a dark horse to watch, as it seems he gets faster with each bit of experience behind the wheel. It shined through with his third top-10 of 2022 at the beach last weekend, to go with a season-best sixth at Sunset Speedway.
Jamie Kay has started off the year strongly with three finishes of sixth or better, however has had some rough moments as well. He will hope to score his first podium of 2022 this weekend.
Kevin Spiez is hoping to carry the momentum into this weekend, hunting his first top-five of 2022 following a pair of sixths at Sauble Speedway.
Zach Millman is looking for his luck to turn around after failing to score a top-10 finish in 2022.
Rob McCall has been fast this season, scoring four straight podium finishes, for five top-seven’s to place him second in the series standings.
Jessica James arguably enters this weekend with the most momentum, having scored seven victories in the last nine races, including the past six straight.
Mikey Homewood’s return to the tour has been solid, as he has scored four top-10’s in the last five races, including a season-best seventh at Sunset Speedway.
Kayla Semple has been getting faster since her debut in the series, gaining experience on a weekly basis. She will hope to work her way up the results board, following a third consecutive ninth-place finish at the beach.
Dan Kviring hopes to continue to positive momentum from Sauble Speedway after scoring a pair of top-10’s on Canada Day weekend.
Dan Bound has been impressive since joining the tour in 2022, scoring his third straight top-five at Sunset Speedway with a runner-up.
