Parker Traves Out-Battles Cuthbertson for Canadian Legend Car Series Victory

INNISFIL, Ontario — Despite spinning around while battling for the top spot, Parker Traves made his way back to the front, snagging the checkered flag in the Trailer Plus Canadian Legend Car Series feature at Sunset Speedway.

Parker Traves won the first heat ahead of Hudson Nagy, Jordan Latimer, Nick Portt, Josh Inglis, Steve Gareau, Glenn Morris, and Wally Wilson.

Kevin Foisy was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Adam Cuthbertson, Dawson Drimmie, Paul Perik, Zach Latimer, and Glenn Lloyd.

Parker Traves went for the daily double ahead of Nagy, Jordan Latimer, Portt, Inglis, Gareau, Morris, and Wilson.

Kevin Foisy also went for two-for-two in front of Adam Cuthbertson, Wes Cuthbertson, Drimmie, Perik, Lloyd, and Zach Latimer.

Come feature time, Adam Cuthbertson started pole in front of Parker Traves, Kevin Foisy, Dawson Drimmie, Jordan Latimer, Hudson Nagy, Josh Inglis, Paul Perik, Nick Portt, Steve Gareau, Zach Latimer, Wes Cuthbertson, Glenn Morris, Glenn Lloyd, and Jeff McKibbon.

Adam Cuthbertson and Parker Traves would battle for the lead off the drop of the green ahead of Foisy, with Drimmie and Jordan Latimer side-by-side for fourth in front of Nagy, and Portt. Foisy would try to take the top-two three-wide, with contact happening, resulting in Foisy spinning into the front stretch wall off of turn four for the first yellow flag at Lap 4.

Parker Traves got a good restart to assume the advantage ahead of Cuthbertson, as Drimmie and Latimer resumed their battle ahead of Nagy. Drimmie got the third spot on Lap 6, bringing Nagy through with him as Latimer ran fifth in front of Perik. Portt would get alongside Perik for sixth just as the caution came out on Lap 8 for Wes Cuthbertson going around on the backstretch.

The restart saw a battle for the lead between Parker Traves and Adam Cuthbertson, with Drimmie and Latimer side-by-side for third. Drimmie got the spot on Lap 10, with Nagy getting alongside Latimer. Traves then took the top spot a lap later ahead of Cuthbertson, Drimmie, Nagy, Latimer, and Portt. Portt would then get by Latimer for fifth, looking to bring Perik through with him.

The battle for the lead got interesting on Lap 11, with contact occurring as both Traves and Cuthbertson went around for a pair of spins.

The restart saw a battle for the lead, now between Dawson Drimmie and Hudson Nagy, as Latimer and Portt battled for third. Portt would get loose off of turn four, coming down the track making contact with Latimer, before both drivers got into the outside frontstretch wall significantly for the yellow flag at Lap 13.

Hudson Nagy got a good restart, with Wes Cuthbertson alongside Drimmie for second ahead of Perik, Traves, and Zach Latimer. Wes Cuthbertson got the spot on Lap 15, with Traves getting by Perik for fourth. The shuffling continued with Adam Cuthbertson taking sixth, as Inglis looked to follow him through.

Wes Cuthbertson then got alongside Nagy for the top spot on Lap 17, with Traves alongside Drimmie for third. Cuthbertson took the lead, with Drimmie looking to follow him through. Traves then took Drimmie and Nagy three-wide, taking over second on Lap 20 ahead of Nagy and Drimmie.

Parker Traves return to the front of the field was complete as he retook the top spot on Lap 23, leading the final two laps ahead of Wes Cuthbertson, Hudson Nagy, Adam Cuthbertson, and Dawson Drimmie. Paul Perik finished sixth, followed by Josh Inglis, Zach Latimer, Glenn Morris, Steve Gareau, and Glenn Lloyd.
