Mombourquette, Boyes, and Reesor Return to Victory Lane at Sunset Speedway

The top stars of each division are quickly being established at Sunset Speedway, as a trio of drivers made their mark once again on Saturday night.

Despite being involved in a mid-race incident, Dustyn Mombourquette drove his way back to the front of the field to score his second straight feature victory. Paul Maltese, whom Mombourquette spun in the incident, came back to place second. Kendra Adams came back from a spin of her own after contact for third, followed by Allan Inglis and Tyler Segan. Daniel Montanari and Ryan D’Antimo rounded out the field after their features ended early from their respective incidents.

Matt Boyes kept the good times rolling, taking the lead on Lap 6 and not looking back en route to his third feature victory of the 2022 campaign. Chandler Bos scored a season-best runner-up after winning a heat, followed by Cameron McGlashan, Jason D’Antimo, and Bob Phinnemore. Chris Allard took flight, and still managed a sixth, followed by Peter Wakeling, Curtis Stewart, Eric Rainey, and Wyatt Sutcliffe. Madison Tienkamp was 11th ahead of Justin Fox, John Bird, and Coleridge Phinnemore.

After getting his first taste of feature victory lane, Calvin Reesor got another dose on Saturday night with his second consecutive victory, following a race-long battle with Jacob Booth. Jeff Laflamme placed third, followed by Aundrea Lusk and Jordan Owen. Jack Bird placed sixth, followed by Austyn Jennett, Andrew Shilling, Sean Sikes, Nicholas Reece, and Shawn Stewart.
