INNISFIL, Ontario — Running up front all race, combined with some late chaos, SKLD Motorsports was able to pick up a pair of top-five’s on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Austyn Jennett started off the night with a fourth in his heat, while Andrew Shilling and Karlie Wilman placed third and fifth in their respective qualifiers. The second round saw Jennett fourth once again, and Shilling and Wilman were third and fifth once again.
The feature would see Shilling start sixth with Jennett right behind him, and Wilman starting eighth. Both Shilling and Jennett moved up a spot in the early stages, but Shilling began to slow as of Lap 10, allowing Jennett to get by for fifth. Shilling would lose another spot in the process, though regained it back about five laps later.
A late-race caution would produce a chaotic restart, with Andrew Shilling able to shoot the gap in the process, scoring a runner-up finish. Austyn Jennett got through for a fifth, with Karlie Wilman placing 10th.
