INNISFIL, Ontario — The strong runs keep coming for Calvin Reesor at Sunset Speedway, as evident by another top-five feature finish on Saturday night.
Reesor was fast in qualifying, scoring another heat victory, followed by a close runner-up in the second qualifier.
Starting on for the feature, he’d battle in the opening stages for the top spot, before fading back to the second spot by Lap 3. He remained there until the race’s lone caution with two laps to go for a spin on the backstretch.
Restarting on the front row, Reesor made a challenge for the top spot, making the move underneath the leader. Unfortunately, contact from behind would get him sideways, allowing those behind him to get a run. Reesor was able to get the car back under control, crossing the finish line in fourth.
It marks Reesor’s third straight top-five following a pair of podiums to kick off 2022.
Reesor Racing is proud to be supported by Barrie Nissan, Greywood Customs, Auto Trim Design of Barrie, Bulleye Axe Throwing, OS Custom Exhaust & Performance, One Stop Muffler & Brake, and Streamline Race Products for the 2022 campaign.
