INNISFIL, Ontario — After showing speed in qualifying, Chris Allard managed to salvage a top-10 finish to cap off Spring Velocity at Sunset Speedway.

Allard started off the day by placing sixth in both of his qualifying heats.

Starting 12^th for the feature, Allard moved up into ninth in the early stages, escaping contact ahead of him when a fellow competitor spun on Lap 4. Restarting on the fourth row, he would battle for sixth, ultimately fading back to seventh by the halfway mark of the feature.

From there on, he battled hard against his fellow competitors to stop falling back, ultimately crossing the finish line with a ninth-place finish.

It marks his second straight top-10 following a fourth-place finish a week ago.
