Wally Wilson Battles Adversity En Route to Just Missing Top-10 at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Despite facing some adversity throughout the weekend, Wally Wilson was still able to put together a strong performance to open the OSCAAR season at Sunset Speedway.

Wilson started off the weekend by placing sixth in his first heat. After some adjustments, he was able to pick up a seventh in the second qualifier against some of the regular front runners of the series.

Starting 13th for the 40-lap feature, he was able to escape damage after an initial wreck on the first lap. He would continue to battle hard to maintain his track position throughout the event, escaping another incident on the frontstretch mid-race, en route to crossing the finish line in 13th.

Wilson will be back behind the wheel of the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified on June 18 at Sauble Speedway.

Wally Wilson Racing is proud to be supported by The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, HAVE1.COM, Mister transmission Owen Sound, Napoleon, and RPM Racewear in 2022.
