INNISFIL, Ontario — Joe Adams continues to write his name in the Sunset Speedway history books, becoming the latest driver to score the victory in the Ontario Legends Series Fall Velocity feature.
Parker Traves won the first heat in front of Josh Einarson, Brandon Feeney, Cody Newell, Glenn Morris, Nick Portt, Josh Inglis, Paul Perik, and Wendy Adams. The heat featured a couple quick cautions, courtesy of spins by Morris and Feeney.
Matt Haufe was victorious in the second qualifier ahead of Joe Adams, Hudson Nagy, Kenny McNicol, and Adam Cuthbertson, as the race featured a quick yellow flag for Cuthbertson going around.
Joe Sherman would go around for a quick spin in the third heat, as Parker Traves went for the daily double in front of Perik, Morris, Portt, Inglis, Feeney, Josh Einarson, Adams, and Sherman.
Matt Haufe also did the daily double in front of Adams, Foisy, Nagy, McNicol, the 72, Cuthbertson, and the 08.
Come feature time, Glenn Morris started pole in front of Hudson Nagy, Matt Haufe, Kenny McNicol, Josh Einarson, Nick Portt, Parker Traves, Joe Adams, Kevin Foisy, Cody Newell, Paul Perik, the 72, Adam Cuthbertson, Brandon Feeney, Cody Wilds, Josh Inglis, Joe Sherman, and Wendy Adams.
Hudson Nagy grabbed the initial advantage as Haufe and McNicol battled for second, but the caution came out for an incident in turn one involving Foisy, Newell, Morris, and Perik.
The restart would see Matt Haufe take over the top spot, though only briefly, with Joe Adams taking the lead on Lap 4, as Haufe battled Nagy for second. Haufe held off the challenge, with Traves and McNicol side-by-side for fourth in front of Cuthbertson, Portt, and Einarson.
The field would string out mostly single-file, with Joe Adams pacing the field the rest of the way for the way, with Parker Traves and Hudson Nagy rounding out the podium after getting by Matt Haufe on Lap 18. Kenny McNicol placed fifth, followed by Adam Cuthbertson, Nick Portt, and Josh Einarson.
