Cole Quinton Breaks Through For First Career Feature Victory

MILLGROVE, Ontario — With a small bump and run, Cole Quinton was able to find his way to the lead and score the victory in the Mini Stock feature at Flamboro Speedway.

“It feels amazing,” he said in victory lane. “I’ve always had confidence in myself, but never really believed I could do this, this early. I thank God for this. I don’t really deserve this. I’m so thankful to have the people behind me – the parents that support me, my family. I’m just – I’m speechless.”

Starting seventh in the heat, Cole Quinton was able to make some moves in the eight-lap qualifier, scoring a third-place finish.

Lined up third for the green flag in the feature, Quinton wasted no time working his way into the runner-up spot. He would then begin putting in the laps, tracking down race leader Gillian Hils through the run. With three laps to go, he caught her, giving her a slight bump and run through the corner. He then made the move underneath, completing the pass and leading the last three laps en route to his first career feature victory.

“I’ve worked for this really hard and I didn’t really want to dirty up Gillian and she definitely owes me one for that,” he commented. “She races me clean, but I really wanted this one bad.”

Quinton is proud to be sponsored by Wheeler Construction, Just Foam It, Spira Fire Protection, JT Excavating, Stage it with Style, Elmsa Steel, Sunvale Homes, Source for Sports, Lucas Oil, Wix Filters, Highgrade Roofing, Pita Pit Orangeville, Nick’s Journey, and Bob’s Ice Cream on-board the No. 18 Mustang.
