PETERBOROUGH, Ontario —A couple separate incidents throughout the night ultimately added up for Paul Boundy, resulting in a poor showing in the second round for the Qwick Wick Super Stock Series.
Laying down a lap of 15.380 seconds, Boundy would find himself 28th quickest of the competitors that showed up, sending him to the last chance qualifier.
Starting 10th, he would avoid the early incidents to move up to fifth in the first six laps. He remained there until a spin on a Lap 8 restart happened right of him, with damage sustained as he caught a piece of it. Restarting at the tail of the field, he would make his way back up to eighth.
The series officials would only take the top-four from the LCQ, but Boundy would get a provisional for the feature as a result of his 11th-place finish at Delaware Speedway for Round 1.
Starting 25th for the main event, Boundy began to make his way forward, but unfortunately was forced pit side on Lap 22 with mechanical issues. He was credited with a 23rd-place finish.
The No. 08 is proud to carry sponsorship from Boundy Roofing, Mark Rainford Auto Centre, Krown Whitby, Cozy Home Heating and Air Conditioning, Orono Country Cafe, Mayhew Auto, and Signworks.
