INNISFIL, Ontario — After mechanical woes a week ago at Sunset Speedway, Calvin Reesor jumped behind the wheel of his back-up car and scored a top-10 finish on Saturday night.
Reesor scored a fifth in both of his qualifiers, setting him up to start mid-pack for the feature later on that night. He missed an incident ahead of him on Lap 5 to move up to ninth, though dropped back to 10th once the race went back to green. He would continue to battle hard, but mechanical issues brought him down pit road on Lap 16. He was credited with a 10th-place finish.
Despite the woes, Reesor sits second in the point standings, just 20 markers out of the lead.
Reesor’s first season at Sunset Speedway is supported by Barrie Nissan, OS Custom Exhaust & Performance, One Stop Muffler and Brake, Bullseye Axe Throwing, Barrie Fiberglass Pools and Spas, Barney’s Auto Electric, Auto Trim of Barrie, and Shepherds Docks.
