INNISFIL, Ontario — After winning a qualifier, contact in the feature relegated Rick Spencer-Walt to a finish just outside the top-five.
Rick Spencer-Walt showed speed in the heats, with a fourth to start off the night, and a victory in the second qualifier.
Starting fourth in the feature, Spencer-Walt moved into third in the early laps before the first yellow flag a couple laps later. He was able to make a similar move on the restart, taking over the runner-up spot just before the second yellow flag at Lap 10.
The restart would see Spencer-Walt battle against Mike Wilkinson for the lead over the next five laps. Spencer-Walt would go into turn one seemingly clear for the lead, when Wilkinson caught his right rear, sending Spencer-Walt around for a spin.
Restarting at the tail of the field, he was able to rebound back for a sixth-place finish.
