INNISFIL, Ontario — After starting off the year with a strong debut a couple weeks ago, things would not go as planned for Jake Spencer-Walt on the second night of competition at Sunset Speedway.
He would start off by showing speed in the first qualifier, though ultimately placed eighth following a spin on the last lap.
The second heat began just as well, as Spencer-Walt made a couple passes to gain valuable track position. However going through turn four, he would get a little loose, making contact with another competitor before contact with the outside wall. Thankfully, Spencer-Walt and the other driver were okay.
The Spencer-Walt Motorsports team will now go to work and make the necessary repairs to get Spencer-Walt back on-track for the next event at Sunset Speedway.
Spencer-Walt is grateful to have support from the following sponsors – B&B General Contracting, Barrie Auto Trim, RC Club Toronto, Harding Construction, GD Coates Superstore, Greensteelroof.ca, and Frame Shop Huntsville.
