INNISFIL, Ontario — In his first start of the season at Sunset Speedway, Jake Spencer-Walt came away with a top-five finish.
Spencer-Walt scored a third-place finish in both of his heats, setting him up to start eighth for the feature. Unfortunately, the event did not start out as planned, as he looped i taround on Lap 4.
Restarting from the tail of the field, he was able to avoid a spin by another competitor and make a couple passes to move into seventh by Lap 11 prior to the next yellow flag. Restarting in sixth, there was contact from another competitor as they tried to make a pass, but Spencer-Walt held onto it. He then made a couple moves on the restart to score a fourth-place finish.
Spencer-Walt is grateful to have support from the following sponsors – B&B General Contracting, Barrie Auto Trim, RC Club Toronto, Harding Construction, GD Coates Superstore, Greensteelroof.ca, and Frame Shop Huntsville.
