INNISFIL, Ontario — Continuing the family tradition from his grandfather, the next generation in the Walt family is ready to go this weekend.

Jake Spencer-Walt will be making his debut behind the wheel of a Jr. Late Model this weekend on Saturday, June 19 at Sunset Speedway.

Originally scheduled for last season, it was pushed back as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the off-time allowed the team to put in more work behind the scenes on the car, as well as get additional practice laps in.

Now with some additional laps under his belt this week, Spencer-Walt has continued to find speed each time out. Combined with continued lessons from his father, 2019 Sunset Speedway Champion Rick Spencer-Walt, the youngster will hope for a strong run this weekend at Sunset.
